    Perinatal Psychological Therapy

Mothers, partners and babies are in transition together, learning how to connect, love, play, 'do' and 'be'. This development happens in relationship, and can only be understood in the family context.

    EMDR Therapy

EMDR therapy initially involves learning how to regulate your emotions so that we can use the brain's natural capacity for healing to process and integrate the trauma memory into an adaptive form.

No mud, no lotus

Famous words of Thich Nhat Hanh, the late Zen Buddhist Monk, who wrote a book by the same name.

The Lotus is a symbol of awakening, of rebirth.

It grows in the muddiest swamps, rises above, to bloom with majestic beauty.

No mud, no lotus.

Mumma, I know it is hard to imagine but you too can rise out of the suffering in your life.

You too can bloom.

MotherBloom's lotus reflects the awakening that happens for us during matrescence.

For many it can feel like an unravelling of past trauma, relational struggles and a confusion about who we are now.

But with the right support, we all have the capacity to make sense of the suffering, to make meaning out of it.

To develop clarity in our Mother Identity, to claim it.

Mumma, you ARE the lotus.

This is your awakening.

Hey there mama!

I’m Amiee, an AuDHDer Mother, wife and Perinatal Psychologist.

Motherbloom Perinatal Psychology has blossomed out of my passion for perinatal and infant mental health and my desire to support other mothers with the transition to motherhood.

Many women experience an unraveling during this time, but with professional support, it can become a space for you to bloom.

People say, when you have children, everything changes.
But maybe things are awakened that were already there.
